Sheffield Design Week – Launch Weekend at Park Hill
PARK HILL PRESENTS THE LAUNCH OF SHEFFIELD DESIGN WEEK 2015
Sheffield Design Week 2015 will be launched at Park Hill and will be a weekend of activities celebrating great design, delicious street food, live music and lashings of craft beers. A collaboration between Sheffield Design Week, Peddlers and Urban Splash, who will be also showcasing the newly refurbished apartments and commercial spaces, it will give the opportunity to literally view the city from a fresh perspective and participate in a summer Street Party in the Sky!

This is the perfect location to begin our series of discussions and talks surrounded by great food from the successful Sheffield enterprise, Peddlers and to give the opportunity to see the Park Hill development bringing new life to another area of the city centre, as well as preserving part of our design heritage.”
Sheffield Design Week’s Design Platform is a pop up curated showcase of cutting- edge designers and makers set within the spaces of Park Hill. From the internationally respected work of The Designers Republic™ to the finely crafted fashions of Mamnick, there will be over 20 designers represented with a range of products, furniture, homewares, ceramics and print. The weekend will provide the opportunity to see,explore and buy contemporary design in a new environment from 11am-6pm Saturday and Sunday.
The Park Hill based weekender will also provide the perfect place for Sheffield Design Week’s launch of the Modernist™ Guide to Sheffield, a printed guide featuring a selection of the best local modernist architecture from the 50s and 60s. Over 40 listings include Park Hill, Moor Street Substation and the Arts Tower showing Sheffield to be a mecca for fans of modernist architecture and design. There will also be an opportunity to buy a Mini-Modernist™ Park Hill model!
